The weekend before Thanksgiving is a time when, all over the world, storytellers share their artistry with people in a variety of venues. In Dunedin, as a follow-up to the Celtic Festival, Good Shepherd Episcopal Church hosted a Celtic StoryFest, which featured six tellers regaling the audience with stories from and about the Celts.
Some stories answered questions, like what a woman really wants and what made the Giant's Causeway which stretches out from County Antrim in Northern Ireland and the island of Straffa, Scotland. There was a faerie story and the true story about King Duncan, who was killed by MacBeth.
People don't like the naked truth! So, story was born. It entertains and teaches.
Other TELLABRATION! events held nearby were in Tampa and Pinellas Park. Learn more about storytelling from the Tampa Bay Storytellers' Guild, http://www.tampabaystorytellersguild.net. The guild meets in Dunedin half the year, alternating with Tampa. All are welcome to any meeting, where stories are shared along with themed programs. Contact the guild through their website.
