The Museum is hosting a competition for kids 6 to 18 to complement our newest exhibit from the Smithsonian Institute.

The exhibit "Journey Stories," highlights how you and your ancestors came to America. We want to extend the exhibit to you. We know your family's journey didn't end once they arrived, and we want to know how the journey has been since. 

You can send us a written essay, a poster or PowerPoint presentation, an interview with family members, a photo slideshow with captions describing their journey, anything you want. Get creative! 

We'll break submissions down into three age categories: 6 to 10; 11 to 14; and 15 to 18. Each category will have its own winner. Winners will receive a $50 prize and their submissions will be put on exhibit with "Journey Stories." 

The deadline is Feb. 15, winners will be announced Feb. 20.
