1) And it's not even summer yet  — expect mostly sunny skies, with a high near 89 and not much breeze to speak of, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight's temp should drop to 73. 

2) The lowest reported gas price in Dunedin is $3.36 at Dodge's Chicken Store, 466 Patricia Ave, on TampaGasPrices.com.

3) Where is the Patch RV today? We'll be lean and green in Largo at Ted's Luncheonette from 7 to 9 a.m. If you're in the neighborhood with a canned good for our Give-A-Ton Food Drive, your coffee is on us!

4) Miss the RV, but still want to donate to the Patch food drive? You may still drop off canned and non-perishable food donations (no glass) at any of the following locations until May 31: Kookie Krums (and get a free cookie with your drop-off), Lucie-Mae's Beach House (and get 1 percent off your purchase for each canned item — up to 15 percent), Enchanted Spirits, The Dunedin Smokehouse, Broadway Deli & Cafe, Art from the Heart Cafe, and VFW Post 2550. (Help us reach our goal of 2,000 pounds for hungry families in Tampa Bay!)

5) You may notice that some marquees around town say "Thank you, Dunedin Firefighters!" This is being done to show appreciation for our first responders in honor of Emergency Medical Services Week (May 20 to 26). Some local paramedics are also visiting some Dunedin Elementary School second graders this week to share about their important life-saving jobs. Your business can show appreciation for them in your marquees and billboards all week, too!
