5 Weekend Things to Do

Here are our top five picks for fun weekend activities in Dunedin (in chronological order).

 

1) Third Annual Dunedin Orange Festival. 
Celebrate the official fruit of Florida and Dunedin's orange grove heritage this weekend at the third annual Dunedin Orange Festival; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday; Edgewater Park; Free admission; $10 for Mojo Cook-off tasting.

2) Marker 8 Orange Festival.
Keep the citrus fun going at the Marker 8 Orange Festival. The event features a live DJ, orange vodka drink specials, and lots of giveaways. Event is for ages 18 and up; 4 p.m to 10 p.m., Saturday; Beso Del Sol Resort; Free to attend.

3) Golden Growler Grab. 
Seventh Sun Brewing Company is offering 50 grab "cases," or boxes containing a mix of merchandise and prizes. Food truck Keep’n it Reel provides food; 7 p.m, Saturday; Seventh Sun Brewery; $35.

4) DST Kids Theater Production "Faery Free For All"
This comedy production incorporates two traditional Scottish faery tales: "The Changeling" and "The Bossy Baker Woman"; 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; Dunedin Community Center; $5.

5) Sea Sea Riders 24th Anniversary Summer Bash.
Celebrate Sea Seas with the Black Honkeys and Stephanie Anderson. Plus, you can win lots of cool prizes, like a 22-inch flat screen TV; noon to 7 p.m., Sunday; Sea Sea Riders Restaurant; Free to attend.
