Panda is only a puppy at 6 months old, but he's having a hard time finding a home.

Although he's calm and well-behaved, his black coloring and pit bull breed is putting people off from giving him a home. As of Oct. 17, he's been with Animal Services for a month, an unusually long time for a puppy.

How to Adopt

Panda is ready to go to his forever home. The adoption fee is $40 and includes the first set of shots, spaying or neutering, a collar and leash, a bag of food and a toy for the dog. We've attached an adoption form (PDF) to make it easy.

Adopt Panda, and we will feature your photo with your new pet on Patch, too!

How to Help

If you can't adopt, but still want to help, Animal Servces always needs volunteers. Contact Kelli Becraft at kbecraft@co.pinellas.fl.us for more information.

About this column: Patch has partnered with Pinellas County Animal Services to bring our readers Adoptables at Risk, a weekly column that highlights dogs and cats that have overstayed at the county shelter and are in immediate need of a forever home. The shelter has limited space and must get pets adopted in a timely manner to free up kennels. Related Topics: Adoptable Dogs, Dogs, Dogs For Adoption, Pit Bull, Puppy, and dunedin
