Ann Romney Coming to Area Wednesday
The Republican presidential hopeful's wife will be in Largo for a "Women for Mitt" rally.
Ann Romney is coming back to Pinellas County.
The wife of Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney will be at the Largo Community Center for a 4 p.m. rally Tuesday, Sept. 12, the campaign announced.
The public is invited to RSVP online for the "Women for Mitt" rally. The Largo Community Center is at 400 Alt Keene Rd. Doors open at 3 p.m.
Mitt Romney had been scheduled to be in Oldsmar for a campaign event this week that was canceled.
Ann Romney visited All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg last month while the Republican National Convention was going on in Tampa.
All attendees at Tuesday's rally will go through "airport-like security and should bring as few personal items as possible," the campaign said. No bags, sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids, or signs will be allowed in the venue. Cameras are permitted.
If you could ask Ann Romney one question, what would it be? Post it in the comments section below.

President Obama stole 2 years of our social security cost of living increase and put our money toward obamacare, similar to what he did with Medicare. This was our money he stole. Would Governor Romney be willing to return that COL to the senior citizens????????

COLAs are based on increases in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) from the 3rd quarter of the prior year to the corresponding quarter of the current year in which the COLA becomes effective. In all fairness, it's not a gift..... it's essentially an index and not a directive from an individual....so I highly doubt any president or candidate could make a promise of "returning" it. Vote the candidate of your choice to run the economy into the ground and voila, you'll get your Cost Of Living Adjustment (COLA). It's a Catch 22 when you think about it. So you get your increase but concurrently your expenses also went up, so you net nothing.

Well, when swifer is clarifying misinformation about Obama, my work is done here. And as much as I would love to hear Ann speak, it's my day to go home and watch paint dry. But I repeat myself...

Really! President Obama stole it? My god lets take him out back and give him a whoopin'! So Tired of the poor me rhetoric! There are two candidates, two basic ideas, pick one and be happy! Vote in November and regardless of how is turns out we move on! Please remember no matter what we do it wont be perfect. As a Obama supporter I am happy to say that if Mitt Romney gets elected the world will not come to an end. So please go hear Mrs speak I'm sure it will be interesting.

For Mya Rose, the Social Security COLA adjustments (and the military pension COLA adjustments, for that matter, as I am a military retiree) are determined by US Law, and not by ANY President, whether President Obama or President Bush or President Clinton, or whoever.
COLA is based upon formulas enacted into US Law in 1972, when Richard Nixon was President, so your anger is totally misplaced while your disappointment is understandable.

I just love when people write responses and no one reads them and essentially write the same reply over again..... LOL! Albeit, well intentioned. Anyway, it's good to see Swiffer and Barasso play nice, and I'm happy to know Rick took a job in the painting business. Try Golf, it's even more boring that watching paint dry.

Anyone know when Romney will actually release information on what his exact plans if elected would be? It's hard to support him if he cannot even tell us what tax loopholes will be close, what his tax plan will be, what he would do different than the current administration. This is looking more and more like Bush vs Kerry, where Kerry basically ran on the "I can do better" than Bush platform with no specifics on how he would do better. The election is getting pretty close, but I cannot support someone blindly Romeny needs to tell us in detain what his plans are for his administration.

I welcome Mrs. Romeny to our area, and hope she loves our area as much as we do. I would welcome any of the candidates and their families to travel to and enjoy our area.

Michael D I agree with you and like your post. I wish they all would come more often. I have questions for every candidate but doubt any will ever be answered. Not meaning to go old school but wouldn't it be cool to still have the train stations and have the car stop with the candidate stepping out.
