When did you start wrestling?

“Freshman year after I quit football. I pretty much didn’t like [football]. Wrestling was [more] individual.”

What’s your favorite part of the sport?

“Putting in hard work and it paying off. A lot of the kids in the state have been wrestling since they were little. I’ve been wrestling since freshman year and I’m keeping in close match with them.”

What do you consider your career highlight?

“Making it to states.”

What’s the hardest part of your sport?

“Cutting weight … it would be, but I don’t really cut weight. Practice with Coach Wilkins. That’s definitely the hardest thing.”

What gets you pumped before a match?

“Just thinking about the hard work I put in and not putting it all to waste – all the time and effort –”
