I'm a bit confused with the expense of the city branding having anything to do with the city web site. We're talking apples and "oranges." (I couldn't help myself!) The upgrade to the Dunedin Government web site has nothing to do with the city branding. As an expert in this field for over 25 years, and a past member of commercial, public, and government web site review boards, I was quite surprised and impressed by the much needed improvements to the formerly archaic Dunedin web site. I just started applying my standard "usability testing" techniques to the new site for my own curiosity. In the early stages, it's obviously more efficient. Furthermore, that site price tag is relatively inexpensive compared to most city, state, and federal government expenses in the same arena. If I had been commissioned to do that overhaul, the city would have had to modify it's 2013 budget just to maintain it! Great job, Courtney! The cost of the city branding is definitely another story.

Courtney is another example of a excellent, dedicated and talented city employee. For most city employees, it's more than just another job, it's their careers their passion. Dunedin keeps its engergy and focus on the goal of improvements and forward thinking staff and managers. Courtney is doing her job and then some.

Really Bill another outside consultant , what happened to the highly qualified City of Dunedin Public relations committe members and staff . Forward thinking ? Contracting out city work and workers (utility billing) those are folks who wont shop in your business or your wifes stores anymore . I guess they learned forward thinking from Neilsen Media .and Bain Capital . I wonder how much Neilsen leabving dunedin cost Dunedin business's and taxpayers !

The site design is a great improvement. No complaints there, but the branding and the message is disappointing. It makes much more sense to push tourists towards the center of commerce- downtown- than push them to honeymoon island. Downtown dunedin is quaint and charming- can't say the same for the causeway. I think the city needs to focus on what makes Dunedin unique. Honeymoon island is nice, but if you want to sell this city on the beach there are much better beaches in pinellas county, let alone the state.

Wow, somebody is bitter! I am sure that the City will experience long term savings by cutting the fat that costs the City money in relation to work performed. Isnt that why there were come other recent City employees let go?
