Deputies: Dunedin Men Rob Clearwater Wine Store Clerk, Arrested at IHOP

The sheriff's office said the three suspects — two of them from Dunedin — ambushed the clerk, taking his keys, cell phone and laptop.

Two Dunedin residents and a Clearwater man are arrested and charged with a robbery late Monday at Pit Stop Discount Wine in Clearwater, authorities said Tuesday.

The three suspects, Deandre GrayJacarius Hannah and Avery Jamal Jones-Neal, were caught shortly after the robbery at a nearby IHOP.

At about 11:30 p.m., the suspects hid behind parked cars in the parking lot of Pit Stop Discount Wine, located at 2201 N. Hercules Ave., the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office reports.

Once the clerk came outside of the business, all three suspects ambushed him, taking his keys, cell phone and laptop, deputies report.

Authorities said the suspects fled the area on foot after they took the victim's belongings.

Deputies arrived on scene a short time later and set a perimeter around the immediate area and K-9 Units tracked the suspects' scent to a nearby neighborhood.

Further investigation led deputies to all three suspects hiding at an IHOP.

All three suspects were charged with strong arm robbery and transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
