Dunedin Soldier Dies in Afghanistan
The Department of Defense has not released details of his death, but his brother confirmed the news on Facebook, according to My Fox Tampa Bay.
Zack Shannon of Dunedin died serving his country in Afghanistan this week, according to a report from My Fox Tampa Bay.
The Department of Defense has not released details of his death. Shannon worked on UH-60 Black Hawks. He graduated from Dunedin High School in 2010 and was a member of the ROTC.
Fox reports Shannon's brother confirmed the news of his death on his Facebook page.
"Zack died doing what he loved," said neighbor and friend Doreen Delcorpo, according to Fox. "From the time he was a kid, he would dress up in military for Halloween. Every single year he was something military. He would borrow his older brother's uniforms and that was his costume."
