Dunedin Youth Volunteer Arrested in Sex Crime
Steven J. Andrews, 29, faces three counts of sexual performance by a child. He is reportedly a volunteer at two Dunedin schools.
A Dunedin man is charged with paying a 12-year-old girl for sexual performances, authorities report.
Steven James Andrews, 29, volunteers at both Dunedin Highland Middle School and Dunedin High School and is a part-time employee at the Child's Nest Daycare Center in Tampa, according to a release from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
According to deputies, Andrews paid the girl $100 to pose for pictures wearing different outfits and appearing “bound and gagged” while at a private residence in North Pinellas County on at least three occasions between August 2011 and February 2012.
Authorities are unsure of how much money the girl received.
Deputies said the girl’s mother reported the crimes upon learning of them Feb. 5.
Andrews is charged with three counts of sexual performance by a child and is being held on $30,000 bail.
The investigation is ongoing.

the pedophile Steven J. Andrews is also the bagpipe major for the Tampa Egypt Shriner's Highlander unit!! Imagine that!! Two of the Shriners could not wait to get him involved in the Shrine and its activities to the point of paying for his entry dues!!! I guess they needed his output on children!!! There is documented proof on this!

You are just rude. Regardless of what the allegations are, those Shriners are wonderful people that I know personally and Mr. Andrews has done a LOT of good things for the Dunedin community AND the bagpiping community in Dunedin. Check your facts or get to know someone before judging them as a pedophile and putting down the Shriners... especially the Tampa Egypt Shrine that works so hard to promote and help children in need. Don't be a jerk and publicly defame someone whom you do not know so well.
