Five Things You Should Know Today

Sign up for a triathlon, recycle your old TV and make some time for toddler

 

1)     It’s Groundhog’s Day! What do you think? Another six weeks of winter?

2)     Seniors, today at Hale Senior Activity Center you lucky ducks can catch a showing of black and white classic “Casablanca” at 1 p.m. Cost is $2 or $1 with a card. Popcorn and drink provided.

3)     All you athletic types can sign up for the eighth annual Dunedin Triathlon at the American Running Company. Registration is $55 until Feb. 28, and then the price increases. The race is set for June 12 at Honeymoon Island State Park.

4)     Don’t forget to collect all your old chemicals and electronics for recycling. Drop them off at Dunedin High School on Saturday. Call 727-298-3215, for more info.

5)     It’s Toddler Time at the Dunedin Public Library from 10 to 11 a.m. or 11 a.m. to noon (no repeats, so pick just one time slot). Call ahead to see if there’s room for your little one; 727-298-3080, Ext. 240.
