A group of my co-workers and I want to be part of the road side honor. Is there a way we will be able to follow the timeline of the escort so we will know when it approaches our area?

Joanne, great question!

Officials cannot be exactly sure when Zack Shannon's remains will turn onto Pinehurst Road. He is scheduled to leave MacDill at 11:15 a.m.

The entire route is estimated to take 30-45 minutes (with normal traffic).

Officials are encouraging folks to arrive early — like 11:30 a.m. — so that you'll have plenty of time to park and get a good spot to stand along the road. (It would be a bummer to be stuck in your car on Pinehurst Road when Zack's escort makes the turn.)

Hope that helps your planning!

Oops! I meant the entire trip is estimated to take 45 mins. to 1 hour!

So you have a few more minutes of leeway!

Since the High School is expected to be so crowded might be also be lining up in other locations along the way. I know people are going to be on Bayshore in Tampa, what about on 580 in Dunedin.

Hopefully, a grateful community will line both sides of Pinehurst from 580 all the way to Michigan Ave. Bring your flags!
