Celebrate back to school at Highlander Pool on Aug. 17, and get some free school supplies while you're at it.

Trying to squeeze the last drops of fun out of the final days of summer before school starts on Aug. 20?

Dunedin Historical Museum, the City of Dunedin, Dunedin Patch and Super Target are here to help by throwing a back-to-school pool party, of course. 

Here's what's in store:

For Fun:

• A deejay
• Inflatable bounce house 
• Pool games
• Concessions
• Safety tips from sheriff's deputies and firefighters
• A family-friendly movie at sunset

For Free:

• School supplies from Super Target of Clearwater 
• Onsite eye exams
• Bring a gently used children's book and trade it for one you haven't read in the Dunedin Patch book swap. All leftover books will be donated to the Dunedin Public Library. (Dunedin Patch will also be accepting new backpack donations for the Back-to-School Backpack Drive going on at the Dunedin Public Library.)
• Schedule of fun events happening during the school year
