Juggling your responsibilities and entertaining the kids is no easy task. Dunedin Patch is coming to the rescue with the top family-friendly activities in the area.
Here’s a list of this week’s events you can pick and choose from.
- Where/When: Dunedin Public Library, 223 Douglas Ave.; Wednesday, June 1 from 4 to 5 p.m.
- Why Go? Parents are invited to bring their children ages 5 and up to this creative event. The LEGO Club meets the first Wednesday of each month.
- Pricing: FREE
- Where/When: Art from the Heart Cafe, 730 Broadway; Friday, June 3, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Why Go? This paint-your-own pottery cafe is Celebrating Moms this Friday, and the first Friday of each month. Stop by the studio with your child and spend some time painting together.
- Pricing: No Studio fees
- Where/When: Dunedin Public Library, 223 Douglas Ave., Dunedin; Monday mornings at 10 a.m.
- Why Go? Spend some quality time with your young ones up to 18 months, singing songs, reading books and learning nursery rhymes.
- Pricing: FREE
World Oceans Day at the Florida Aquarium
- Where/When: Florida Aquarium, 701 Channelside Drive, Tampa; Saturday and Sunday, June 4 and 5, all day
- Why Go? Get out of town and enjoy lots of educational activities and fun games all weekend long. Prizes will be given away at the scavenger hunt, too!
- Pricing: Regular price admission is $14.95 for kids 3 to 12, or $19.95 for adults.
- Where/When: Pier 60, 10 Pier 60 Drive, Clearwater Beach. Friday, June 3 at 7 p.m.
- Why Go? This week's feature film is "Shark Tale," a PG-rated animated movie. Bring blankets for this lawn-style family event. Concessions available and no alcohol permitted.
