Hot Dunedin Gift Idea: Scottish Jewelry

TWO shopping days until Christmas! Find out where you can get this great item right here in Dunedin.

Time is running out to find that perfect holiday gift.

To help spur your gift-giving ideas and keeping in the "Shop Local" spirit, Patch is showcasing one hotitem from Dunedin's Mom and Pop shops each day until Dec. 25.

With just TWO shopping days left until Christmas, consider this idea from Lothian Kilt Rentals & Bagpipe Supplies at 1570 Main St (State Road 580):

  • Item: Heathergems Jewelry
  • What Makes it a Perfect Gift? Heathergems is a new line of earrings, bracelets and necklaces made from stems of heather, a purple-blooming Scottish plant. The stems are dried, dyed and compressed to produce beautiful colored "gems" used in silver and pewter settings. Each piece is unique and made in Pitlochry, Scotland.
  • Price tag: $25 to $55
  • Store Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Wednesday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Sunday, closed. (Shop will be open regular hours on Christmas Eve, but close Christmas Day)
