Dunedin is a great place to live, work and a great place to be from. I saw this story pop up yesterday and laughed because it is so great to be here and always has been. I can only speak about Clearwater and northward since I have never lived south of Drew St. Growing up in Dunedin was like growing up in a story book, everybody knew everybody and most did not lock their doors, a bit like a Norman Rockwell painting, when my Grandad moved here from Central Florida prior to World War 2 the town was not all that different than today, a little smaller but much has remained the same in Dunedin such as it's charm and small town feeling, the one true constant would be the great people of Dunedin. I really don't know of anywhere I would rather be.

of the neighborhood is still there though, just changed a little, and a few of the old businesses have gone also, But Dunedin is still and will always be my home town, even though I live in Clearwater, I visit quite often for the nostalgia of seeing some of the old places, like the old icehouse /gas station on the corner of Douglas and Main
that is now a bar.

I've lived in Pennsylvania, New York, and Connecticut in the past year. I think I'll stay in Dunedin.

When I post photos online or send them to friends elsewhere, they invariably tell me they wish they were here...or they invite themselves for a visit, haha!

This town is a gem. And it only keeps getting better.

Dunedin makes me smile.

I like Dunedin because it's not Tampa, St. Pete or Clearwater.

We found Dunedin a few months ago, while visiting the area. We fell in love with it, There is always something to do, concerts, arts & crafts and the Green market going on every weekend and its all FREE ! We sold our home in Atlanta and moved here one month ago. Every time we leave the house, we say pinch me, this is to good to be true.

I moved to Dunedin almost 20 years ago in 1992. I watched the Downtown grow to what we enjoy it as today with it's quaint and eclectic atmosphere. The various restaurants and shops, the live music venues, and being a waterfront community makes this the perfect place to live! Dunedin offers something for everyone, how can anyone be sad living in this "Delightful" little town. :)

We've lived in downtown Dunedin exactly two years today! It seemed like a wonderful place when we visited, but the truth is, life in Dunedin has far exceeded my expectations!
Many, many years ago, I wrote a paper on utopias. Little did I know that I would be living in one!

I moved to Dunedin from Atlanta in January, and it is a breath of fresh air. Relaxed, friendly, non-pretentious people surrounded by natural beauty, wildlife, and just the right mix of arts and culture. Sure, the real estate business is just as tough here -- but watching the sun melt into Hurricane Pass for a few minutes each day makes it much more bearable.

Totally I agree...I don't consider Dunedin, Tampa, St. Pete, Clearwater blablabla, here is a special town that is magical, ideal for retirement. I felt in love with its natural beauty since the 1st day I came last year & start residing here by accident. Now U'll have to take me out cremated. I don't believe in magazine I bet they have never ever come @ least once to see & know the area. Dunedin is Super!
