Santa Coming Soon to Your Neighborhood

Off-duty firefighters are giving Santa a lift aboard a fire truck so he can pass out candy and toys to good girls and boys in a neighborhood near you, according to a news release from Dunedin fire officials.

 

Catch sight of Santa Claus when he visits your neighborhood starting Friday, Dec. 14.

Off-duty firefighters are giving Santa a lift aboard a fire truck so he can pass out candy and toys to good girls and boys through Dec. 24, according to a news release from Dunedin fire officials.

Fire officials said Santa will be leaving on his nightly rounds each evening around 6 p.m. from the station on Ed Eckert Drive in Highlander Park. Santa’s helpers will make every effort to keep to the schedule, weather permitting, the release states.

Fire trucks are not able to travel down dead-end streets.

Here's when he's scheduled to roll through your neighborhood between 6 and 8:30 p.m., according to fire officials:

  • Baywood
  • Harbor View

Saturday, Dec. 15

  • Michigan Boulevard to Palm Boulevard between Bayshore Boulevard and County Road 1
  • Stirling Heights
  • Braemoor, Barcelona, and LeGrande Drive
  • Trails West

Sunday, Dec. 16 

  • Waterford
  • Harbortowne Apartments
  • Country Woods

Monday, Dec. 17

  • Royal Oak
  • Valley Drive and Summit Drive
  • Pinehurst Road to Patricia Avenue, from Michigan Boulevard south to San Salvador Drive

Tuesday, Dec. 18

  • Michigan Boulevard south to San Salvador Drive from San Mateo Drive to the water

Wednesday, Dec. 19

Wish we would have known that they were coming down our street last night (would have gotten the grandchildren).Unincorporated Dunedin @Belcher and Oakwood is usually not included in city events.What a nice surprise! Thank you
