Scottish Highlanders to March in Disney Christmas Day Parade
Dunedin High School's marching band is one of two in the country selected by Disney. The parade will be aired at 10 a.m. Dec. 25 on ABC.
Dunedin High School's Scottish Highlander Marching Band was selected to march in the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade, according to a news release from Pinellas County Schools.
Only one other marching band in the country is bestowed the same honor, the news release states.
Watch the annual Christmas Day parade on TV Dec. 25 at 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on ABC.
The 70-member band was chosen because of it fully incorporates bagpipes, kilts and Scottish military uniforms and tradition. The band's unique Scottish quality was needed for a segment in the parade, the news release states.
The Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade airs at 9 a.m. for all other major U.S. time zones, according to the Disney parade website. Check your local listings for more information.
