Things to Do with the Kids: Celebrate Playground Grand Opening

We found five things to do — from beach shell shows to bowling — with kids aged toddler to teen.

 

Juggling your responsibilities and entertaining the kids is no easy task. Dunedin Patch is coming to the rescue with the top family-friendly activities in the area.

Here’s a list of this week’s events.

Toddler Time

  • Where/When: Dunedin Public Library, 223 Douglas Ave; every Wednesday at 10 a.m.
  • Why Go?  Parents can bring their children, 18 months to 3 years for playtime, sing-alongs and stories.
  • Pricing: Free

Music with Mar

  • Where/When: Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 750 San Salvador Drive; Thursday mornings at 10 a.m.
  • Why Go? Share a musical experience with your children as babies through pre-schoolers interact together.
  • Pricing: $7 per family

DJ Cosmic Bowling

  • Where/When: Dunedin Lanes, 405 Patricia Ave; Friday and Saturday nights at 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
  • Why Go? Enjoy funky lighting affects and cool music at this family-friendly bowling event.
  • Pricing: $14 per person

Playground Grand Opening

Monthly Shell Show & Exhibit

  • Where/When: Rotary Centennial Nature Center at Honeymoon Island State Park, 1 Causeway Blvd; Saturday at 1 to 4:30 p.m.
  • Why Go? Enjoy an array of shells and hands-on learning activities.
  • Pricing: Free with park admission ($8 per car; up to eight people per carload)
