About this column: Chef John Lewis, cookbook author and resident chef on the nationally syndicated "Daytime" television show, explores a different Dunedin drinker's destination each week as part of a personal quest to find the perfect happy hour. He's comparing hours, pricing, and the four main components of a good Happy Hour experience: bartender, ambience, friendly atmosphere and social network. The outdoor waterside bar has a certain ambience. Classy indeed! The kind of place you'd wear a plaid cabbie cap.

I'll definitely be following your weekly reviews, Chef John. Please add your thoughts on the crowd and the music - those add more to the 'happy' in the happy hour than the price of the spirits.
