What to Know for Dogtoberfest at Highlander Park

Dunedin's dogs are taking over Highlander Park for Dogtoberfest on Saturday.
Bring the dogs and lawn chairs for a day of family-friendly activities, including a doggie costume contest, a pet costume contest, a wiener dog race, pet vendors, live music and, of course, a beer garden.
The event is free to attend, but a $3 parking fee and beer money goes to Suncoast Animal League. Cruises and jewelry will be raffled.
Here's the lineup for you and your pup:
11a.m to 4 p.m.
Super Pet Adopt-a-Thon: Fifty rescue groups are expected to participate with more than 250 adoptable dogs and a few cats, too.
11a.m to 4 p.m.
Photos With Santa: Bring your dog and kids to have their photos taken with Santa Claus.
