On Deck: Dunedin and Lakeland play game No. 2 of the three-game series today (Aug. 24). First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Need to Know:
- The 2009/10 Florida State League Champion Tampa Yankees remain hot on the D-Jays tail. The team won four in a row and trail the Jays by two games after being rained out Tuesday.
- The Gulf Coast Blue Jays Eric Arce set a league record for home runs on Monday, belting his 14th in the short season. The League plays only a 60-game schedule, making this accomplishment even more impressive. The 5-foot-9-inch Tampa native also leads the Gulf Coast League in walks and is third in on-base percentage.
