It's such a pleasure to be forming a new community of faith in Dunedin! I first "met" Dunedin more than fifteen years ago, was charmed and still am. Along with my partner of twenty-one years, I have lived in and around Dunedin for the past thirteen years.

So you can imagine how thrilled I was when my denomination, Metropolitan Community Churches, asked me to form a new MCC here about six months ago. With the nearest MCC's being in Tampa, New Port Richey and St. Petersburg, northern Pinellas has become an area of great interest. Through the welcome and generosity of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Living Faith MCC is sharing space with that congregation and exploring areas of ministry partnership.

Although MCC was initially formed to offer safe and affirming church homes to GLBT people unable to find that elsewhere or rejected by the traditions of their childhood, it is now a denomination to which many others are attracted and in which we proclaim that God's love is for all and that all are welcome.
