Be successful in organic herb gardening by first learning about what kind of soil, water and nutrients your herbs will like.  Then get an understanding of which pests they won't like and how to shoo them away without harming the environment.   Attendees will then take away some great ideas on starting herbs using seeds or transplanting.  Herb seeds will be given away and one lucky person will win a bag of worm castings. 

Jackie Rhea brings together an interesting mix of gardening around the globe with years of Florida living.   Many of you know her as the go-to person in the nursery department at Vision Ace, but she also uses her home garden as a testing ground for different growing methods.   Jackie is a Certified Horticultural Professional (FCHP) and a board member of the Pinellas chapter of the Florida Nursery Growers and Landscapers Association (FNGLA). She has a BS in Meteorology from Florida Tech and MS in Environmental Horticulture with emphasis in landscape design from the University of Florida.
