NUNO FELTING CLASS::Thursday April 24th::DUNEDIN

Thursday, April 24, 2014 11:00 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Nuno Felting Class at Raspberries in Dunedin.

Have you heard of nuno felting? The name is derived from the Japanese word "nuno" meaning cloth. The technique bonds loose fiber, usually wool, into a sheer fabric such as silk gauze, creating a lightweight felt. The fibers can completely cover the background fabric, or they may be used as a decorative design that allows the backing fabric to show. Nuno felting often incorporates several layers of loose fibers combined to build up color, texture, and/or design elements in the finished fabric to make beautiful shawls, scarves, purses and much more.
Class fee and scarf $40. Additional materials available at Raspberries. Artist Marge of M Originals by Marge will teach the class. We can only accommodate 6 students per class.
