Kirkin' Of The Tartans

Once a year in the fall, the Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church congregation celebrates its Scottish heritage.   Many members have purchased their own family's tartan, which are proudly carried into the church and placed at the end of the pews.

The service begins with the Beadle who carries the open Bible to the front of the sanctuary, followed by the Firefighters of Tampa Bay Pipes and Drums, and then the families with their tartans process into the sanctuary.  All participants are encouraged to reflect with thanksgiving their own family and ethnic heritage and to celebrate God's grace poured out for all generations.  All are welcome to attend this joyous occasion.
