Five Things to Know Today: Monday, Sept. 12

Here are five things Dunedin residents need to know as we start another work week.

1) How's the weather? Per the National Weather Service, some normality will return to Dunedin. Rather than the recent rains all days, it should be clear this morning but the afternoon rains have a 20 percent chance of returning. High will be 90.

2) Need a cheap fill up? Gas for $3.47 a gallon for regular unleaded can be found in Dunedin, per GasBuddy.com, at Rally at 1621 Main St. Dodge's Store located at 466 Patricia Ave. is a penny higher at $3.48.

3) Spanish for travelers. Going to Latin America but don't want to drag a English-Spanish dictionary wherever you are? A one-day class at the Dr. William E. Hale Senior Activity Center can help you. For $40 for those with Dunedin recreation cards and $60 for non-cardholders, students will learn how to order food, rent a car and ask for directions in Spanish.

5) Have the acting bug? The Showcase Arts Foundation Inc. is looking to add to its troupe. The group offers just about every type of acting from sophisticated plays to comedy and mystery theatre. The group meets at 2664 Enterprise Road in Clearwater. For information, go to ShowcaseArtsFoundation.org
