  • Where/When: , 373 Douglas Avenue; Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday starting at 6 p.m.
  • Why Go? It’s good family fun for a low admission price and game day promotions that rock. Thursday is $1 beer and soda; Friday is ladies night drink specials; and Saturday the Junior Jays season ticket holders get a free ballpark meal. This Saturday, Scout troops get a chance to camp out on the outfield.

  • Why Go? Take advantage of Fridays in April. The City shows classic black and white films under the stars. Bring your own chair or blanket. Movie snacks such as popcorn, soft drinks and hot dogs available. This week’s showing is “High Noon,” a 1952 drama about a marshal who feels he must face a returning enemy when his town refuses to help. Stars Gary Cooper, Grace Kelly and Thomas Mitchell.

  • Why Go? The Dunedin Public Library celebrates National Library Week with some pretty fun events for kids and parents. Storytimes, book sales, cake-decorating contests, coloring contests and jazz music.

  • Where/When: 249 Windward Passage, Clearwater (Between Clearwater Marine Aquarium and Island Way Grill on Island Estates) on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 
  • Why Go? This carnival event features a children’s jump house, a mini touch-a-truck, obstacle courses, face painting, raffles, free wine tasting for the adults, music and you can dress up and bring your pets. It’s truly a family-pleaser.
