Great Escape: Host a Spa Party

Awaken Organic Skincare & Boutique has services for summer.

Parenting is a tough job. You deserve to take a breather every now and again. But what should you do with your downtime? Each week, we bring you one great idea to de-stress. In doing so, we hope to make your life a little easier, maybe a whole lot easier.

Spring is here, and that means swimsuit season is upon us. Soon the weekends will be jam-packed with long days at the beach, where the kids can run and play while Mom and Dad relax and soak up some rays. If you don't want to get caught baring unsightly toes in those flip-flops, we've got a pampering solution.

Moms, this week take some time for a bit of routine maintenance on your nails, brows and skin (exfoliation). What better way to fit this in than by hosting your very own spa party?

With our nations' urgent need to overhaul the health care system and each persons' need to deal withRead More increasing health care costs/decreasing quality of care, volunteering for SHINE could be part of the answer. The more you know, the better equipped you are to make postive changes for yourself and others. If, like me, you feel frustrated with the FL Legislature which seems to be working against us rather than for us; volunteering with organizations that educate the public in essential areas of concern can be an effective way to create grassroots changes. SHINE offers exceptional training and effectively updates it's volunteers regarding changes in the healthcare system. Sign up for thier training and you're sure to want to pass on what you learn to others.
