Know Your Evacuation Zone in Dunedin

Certain neighborhoods in the coastal and Curlew Creek areas of Dunedin are more at risk for flooding than others.

Even though barrier islands protect the city, flooding from tropical storms, hurricanes and heavy rains still pose a threat in Dunedin's low-lying coastal areas. 

Tidal surges, which usually have the greatest reach at high tide, can cover roadways and creep onto the ground level or higher of coastal buildings.

  • Edgewater Drive
  • Dunedin Isles
  • Baywood Shores
  • Curlew Creek
  • Spanish Trails
  • Honeymoon Island
  • Caladesi Island

Find your Evacuation Zone here, so that you can be prepared in case of a storm that brings coastal flooding. 

Zones are categorized using a letter system beginning with 'A,' which is closest to shore. Officials will announce which, if any, zones must be evacuated as a storm approaches.
