Dunedin Nurse's Photos to Be Featured on TV News

Kathy Lerche takes inspirational photos that she then donates to charities.

[UPDATE: The TV profile on FOX 13 will air Wednesday, April 17, during the 6 p.m. newscast. It was delayed due to coverage of the bombings at the Boston Marathon.]

Dunedin photographer Kathy Lerche will be featured on FOX 13 News Tuesday, April 16, in a report titled "What's Right With Tampa Bay," with Kelly Ring.

The feature story is set to run on the 6 p.m. news. Lerche discusses her photography and current exhibit at Oldsmar City Hall. Lerche, an amateur photographer, donates her images to charities. She was featured in Dunedin Patch in July.

Lerche is a photographer on a mission, a mission to do good. The theme of her photos is "daily moments of beauty," and they have delighted her patients, among others.

Lerche, 63, is a nurse at Morton Plant Hospital. She who has lived in Dunedin for 18 years. She has been sharing her photography for the past nine years, after taking a class at Dunedin Fine Art Center.

Her photos have been featured in the St. Petersburg Times, at the Dunedin Public Library and at Morton Plant Hospital. She has won several regional and countywide contests, including one sponsored by Tampa Bay Magazine last fall.
