15th Annual Halloween in the Park

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, The Florida Park Service and the Friends of the Island Parks invite the public to “Halloween in the Park XV”, a safe alternative to trick or treating.   The event will be held on Friday, October 26th and Saturday, October 27th, 2012 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM each night.

There will be a family area where children and adults will be entertained with music, Halloween themed arts and crafts, games, music and freeze dance and a costume contest.  There will also be face painting for the kids, fortune telling for the parents, games, storytelling with the Dunedin library, food and fun.  There will be a scary trail for the older children and adults complete with a haunted house.

A donation of $10.00 per carload will include 10 free game tickets.   The event will take place in the picnic area.  Participants should wear their costumes (not required), walking shoes and bring insect repellant and a small flashlight.
