Five Things to Know Today

The weekend is here! There's no shortage of things to do today as the weather is fantastic. So here's a list of things to know for Saturday, Oct. 22 in Dunedin.

Get out and enjoy yourselves Dunedin. Here's just a snapshot of the many things the city offers today, Saturday, Oct. 22.

1) Weather: Per the National Weather Service, it will be a very pleasant day to be outside. Though chilly this morning with the temperature in the upper 50s, it will warm up with a high expected to be 75 under sunny skies. Tonight it won't be quite that cold, with a low expected to be 63.

2) Cheap gas: Per GasBuddy.com, the cheapest gas in Dunedin as of Friday night was the St George Gas Service station at 2000 Bayshore Blvd. The station has gas for $3.34 on a cash-only transaction.

3) SCOTToberfest: Get out to Stirling Commons, 730 Broadway, to celebrate SCOTToberfest, the Scottish heritage of Dunedin. Scottish traditional dancers, Scottish sausage, brats, Apple Cider BBQ ribs and other food, Scottish and Oktoberfest beers, wine and other beverages, shopping, adoptable dogs, plus a pumpkin patch and scavenger hunt are just some of the family- and pet-friendly events to attend.

4) Casa Tina’s Dia de Los Muertos Fiesta: it's a festival where businesses erect altars for lost loved ones, and then celebrate their memories. Latin food, music and of course, a shot of tequila are on the docket held at Pioneer Park.

5) North Pinellas Pride: The week-long list of festivities of North Pinellas Pride continues today with sun and fun at the Beso del Sol Resort, 1414 Bayshore Blvd. from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and then the festa moves to the Blur Nightclub and Show bar at 8 p.m.
