Five Things You Need to Know This Weekend
Island Earth Days, two days worth of fun, highlight this weekend's events.
The weather is great. There's a celebration both at Honeymoon Island and at Pioneer Park. Get outside and enjoy the weekend.
1. Weather: Today doesn't look all that great, but wow Sunday looks fabulous. Per the National Weather Service, there is a 30 percent chance of showers this afternoon with a high of 83. Once the chance of showers passes, it should be mostly sunny. Tonight will dip down to 67 and on Sunday it should be glorious with a high of 85 and mostly sunny, though it is expected to be breezy.
2. Cheap gas: Super Shop has the cheapest gas in town as of Friday and the price of regular unleaded actually went down if you can believe it, per GasBuddy.com. Gas at Super Shop, 1001 Broadway, is $3.85 a gallon.
