Dunedin Woman's Cupcakes Grace Greek Community

Dunedin's Amber Wardia celebrates the opening of Enchanted Oven, a bakery bringing customized cakes, cupcakes and breads to Tarpon Springs, today with a promotion that has the city voting on an official cupcake flavor.

The Dunedin resident proudly celebrates the grand opening of her bakery Enchanted Oven in Tarpon Springs today.

She'll be offering three cupcake flavors and allowing customers to vote on which should be the official cupcake of Tarpon Springs. She'll also have a cupcake decorating contest from for kids 10 and under.

Wardia of Dunedin, a self-proclaimed free spirit, said she things Tarpon Springs is the perfect location for her new bakery, which also serves cakes, pastries and breads.

In the long run, Wardia hopes to fulfill a lifelong goal of serving underprivileged youth.

She has presented to students at San Jose Elementary School for the Great American Teach-In and also volunteers, according to the school.

Wardia has experience working for Pinellas County, and said that witnessing the effects of the recession hit home. 

"It really opened my eyes and my goal is to get a nonprofit up," Wardia explained.

Although it's a plan for the future, Wardia said that the nonprofit's purpose would be to shower kids with love through baked goods.

Whether it's a birthday cake or cupcake for getting good grades, Wardia said that each child deserves positive re-enforcement. 

"When it comes to kids, it's my passion," Wardia said. "I have to do whatever I can do to help those kids."
