Holiday Hours and Closings in Dunedin

Breathe easy, last-minute shoppers: Here's a breakdown of holiday hours for some of the most popular local stores and services.

Trying to squeeze in a grocery trip or last-minute gift purchase in the next few days? Here's a look at when some of the most popular stores in town will be open this weekend.

Walgreens 24-hour stores will remain open 24 hours, even on Sunday. There are 24-hour stores at 1477 Main St. in Dunedin, 30280 U.S. 19 N in Clearwater and 33670 U.S. 19 N in Palm Harbor. Hours at other Walgreens stores vary; call your local store for information.

CVS 24-hour stores will remain open 24 hours, even on Sunday. There are 24-hour stores at 2175 Main St. in Dunedin and 30387 U.S. 19 N in Clearwater. Hours at other CVS stores vary; call your local store for information.

Publix will be open until 7 p.m. Saturday. It will be closed Sunday and reopen Monday.

Sweetbay will be open until 7 p.m. Saturday. It will be closed Sunday and reopen Monday.

Winn-Dixie will be open until 7 p.m. Saturday and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. 

Target will be open from 8 a.m. to midnight Thursday and Friday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday. It will be closed Sunday.

Walmart, which is normally open 24 hours, will close at 8 p.m. Saturday. It will be closed Sunday and reopen at 5 a.m. Monday. Note: Walmart Neighborhood Market stores will close at 6 p.m. Saturday. They will be closed Sunday and reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.

Best Buy will be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday. It will be closed Sunday.

Westfield Countryside Mall will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. It will be closed Sunday.

In addition, the following county services will observe holiday hours, according to a Pinellas County news release.

From the release:

Pinellas County and Dunedin government offices will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26, and Monday, Jan. 2, in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day. 

The courts of the Sixth Judicial Circuit (Pinellas and Pasco) will not be in session Monday, Dec. 26, and Monday, Jan. 2, except for first-appearance advisory hearings and emergency situations.

Animal Services will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26, and Monday, Jan. 2, with the outside animal drop-off area remaining open.

The Solid Waste Administration Building and HEC3 will be closed Monday, Dec. 26, and Monday, Jan. 2. The scalehouse/landfill will be open normal hours (6 a.m. to 6 p.m.) on both Monday, Dec. 26, and Monday, Jan. 2. Solid waste pickup in Dunedin runs on a normal schedule on both Monday, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.

Heritage Village will be closed Sunday and Monday, Dec. 25 and Dec. 26, and will be open Wednesday, Dec. 28 to Saturday, Dec. 31. It will be closed Sunday and Monday, Jan. 1 and Jan. 2, and will be open on Wednesday, Jan. 4. Regular hours of operation are Wednesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.

The Florida Botanical Gardens will be closed Sunday, Dec. 25 during the day, and will be open for Holiday Lights in the Gardens from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. It will be open on Sunday, Jan. 1.

The Environmental Education Center at Brooker Creek Preserve and the Cultural and Natural History Center at Weedon Island Preserve will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Dec. 24 to 26, and Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Dec. 31 to Jan. 2. Regular hours of operation at the centers are Thursday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

All county regional parks and preserves, with the exception of Fort De Soto Park, will be closed on Sunday, Dec. 25. No shelter reservations for any park can be made for Dec. 25.

Belleair, Park Boulevard and War Veterans’ Memorial Park boat ramps and all county beach accesses will remain open.
