Own a Small Business in Dunedin? Join Patch in 3 Minutes

Maximize the benefits of your Dunedin Patch listing — for free.

When Patch launched in Dunedin last year, editors and freelancers ventured to local businesses to collect information for our directory.

The result: Patch Places, a spot where users can find descriptions, hours, accepted payment methods and more for spots around town.

All users can add events taking place at local spots, rate the business on a scale of one to five stars and add a review.  If you tell your best customers and friends to review you on Patch, their reviews will show up on the Patch homepage! Plus, owners of local businesses get extra bonuses when they claim their FREE listing.

  1. Owners or managers can search for their business listing and select "claim your listing" in order to make updates to the page.
  2. A form will pop up asking for your name, contact information and proof of ownership.
  3. Soon, someone from Patch will contact you to verify your authenticity. You'll then be approved as the business owner. Once approved, you'll have a Manage Your Listing button on the top of your Places page. Click the button to be taken to your dashboard.

Once you're approved, you can see all kinds of great information about your business on Patch. Here you can see how many users have rated, reviewed or follow your listing. You can e-mail your customers to seek out more reviews, and link the Patch Place to your Facebook and Twitter accounts. You can edit some of the information about your business if it changes. Also, you can add your own photos and video to show off how great your place is.

For my daily responsibilities I represent Southeast Personnel Leasing, Inc - a PEO headquartered in Holiday, FL and we specialize in saving time and money for payroll services and workers comp insurance for companies with 1 employee on up in blue collar, gray collar and white collar industries. Additionally, for years with my own company, I have consulted with businesses of all shapes and sizes in the areas of profit improvement. Finally, I am the Marketing Director (unpaid) for Spin D'Arte which is a collection of Artists who produce some amazing works of Art to offer to the public, to business and in support of local charities (they always participate in Martinis and Matisse which is hosted by Frank Crum (at no cost) and supported by local vendors (at their cost as they offer their products and services for that evening at no cost) and by local Artists and Musicians (at their cost as the Artist donates a piece of Art and the Musician donates time, skill and talent at their cost) all to support the single largest Fundraiser for The Clearwater Free Clinic - the largest free clinic in Pinellas County). My question is how I can claim any or all three free Business Listings. You will note that Spin D'Arte is on Manta and under affiliations Dunedin Patch is listed as Patch is one of the best ways to keep your fingers on the pulse of your community whether you are an individual or business.

Joe, if your business is located in Dunedin, then you should already have a free listing. If you do not, we can set you up with one quickly. If your business is located elsewhere, you may have a listing in that town's Patch site. You're business or organization can post their events in our calendar or in our announcements for free. There are also advertising options if you'd like additional exposure. I can put you in touch with our advertising manager if you'd like more information.

Katie I am unable to find the business listings to claim. If I put Spin D'Arte in teh search box I find articles and events, If I put People, Process & Technology or Southeast Personnel Leasing in the search box I get nothing for reaults. Obviously I must be doing something wrong. Thanks Joe

Joe, it's possible they could be missing from our directory. I can file a missing listing report for them if you send me a list of the businesses' names, their corresponding addresses, phone numbers, website links and/or email addresses. Send to kathryn.dolac@patch.com. Please note: Only businesses with a Dunedin address are eligible for a free listing in Dunedin Patch. Businesses outside of Dunedin may be listed, but for a small fee.
