Dunedin Doggie Rescue BOGO: Mia and Dino

Mia and Dino have been together since birth and want to find a home that will allow them to be together fur-ever.

Dunedin Doggie Rescue would like to introduce Dino and Mia.

  • Dino is a Rottweiler/Labrador retriever mix, 60 pounds and around 10 months old.
  • Mia is a Labrador retriever mix, 45 pounds and around 10 months old.

They are liter mates, were adopted out together, but have come back to the rescue. The family that they were adopted into loved them, and helped them with some obedience, but did not feel they could give them the time they deserved.

This pair has been together since they were born, and are best friends. The rescue is trying to keep the two of these babies together. They do not know life apart, and because the rescue cares the most about the right home for the dogs, they are offering a buy one get one (BOGO) in this situation.

Both dogs are playful, sweet, love other dogs, but are not so keen on cats. This might be due to the fact the neighborhood cat teases them when they are outside.  While at the old owner’s home, they were taught basic obedience and potty training. They have been around children and do great.

Mia is still a little more puppy in her, but is working on her chewing with chew toys. She does wonderful with the doggie door, and is still learning some of her obedience on a leash.

Dino is a little more laid back and not into chewing so much. He also does wonderful with the doggie door, and is learning on the leash.

Both dogs are great around other dogs, but still have the excitable energy that puppies have when they first meet. After about 10 to 15 minutes, they calm down and start to relax.

If you are interested in Dino and Mia, and have room in your home, and especially in your heart, then please fill out an adoption form, or stop by one of Dunedin Doggie Rescue events to meet them.
