With spring right around the corner, Patch wants to know where your family goes to enjoy nature.

Spring has sprung early in the Tampa Bay area, and that got us thinking about the best places to enjoy the weather.

Dunedin Causeway. If you don’t want to go all the way to Honeymoon, you can stop along this scenic route to picnic, windsurf, boat, sunbathe or relax with a good book. 

. This 70-acre facility at Pinehurst and Michigan avenues — home to the , the the Nature Center and the Highlander Pool — offers wide open grassy areas, picnic tables and three playgrounds.

. Featuring 11 beds with more than 40 plant varieties and 35 butterfly species, this San Mateo Drive retreat is an ideal place to spend a quiet afternoon in nature. 

Located on Cedar Creek adjacent to the Pinellas Trail, the park offers shelters, a boardwalk, a canoe dock and a disc golf course. 

Tucked away at the end of Main Street near the Dunedin Marina, Edgewater Park has a playground, picnic tables and plenty of shade. 

. The newest addition to Dunedin’s park collection, this waterfront park is a perfect place to enjoy a late lunch before walking the 700-foot-long boardwalk to watch the sunset.
