Zack Shannon Brother: 'He Was Always There for Everyone'

Friends and family of fallen Dunedin soldier Zack Shannon gather today at the VFW Post to remember his life.

Fallen soldier Zack Shannon is remembered as a thoughtful, quick-witted younger brother.

"He could be a hundred times better than you, and still be proud of who you are," his brother Steve Shannon said the week Zack died.

Family and friends of the 21-year-old Dunedin High grad who died in Afghanistan on March 11 are invited to celebrate his life at the VFW Post 2550 between noon to 6 p.m.
