What to Know for Wednesday

Five things you need to know to help you get through your day.

1)     Today is first anniversary party. The pizzeria will have free pizza samples, drink specials and live entertainment.  

2)     Registration is required for all the Diversity Week-themed activities at the . Here’s a look at what’s going on throughout the week:

  • Today: Families with children 5 to 12 are invited for at 6:30 p.m. Guest of honor is American Girl character Josefina.
  • Thursday: Children ages 5 to 12 can learn about American Indians and the Lousiana Purchase with time-travel TV characters, , at 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday: The Library hosts a special edition of its weekly story time for children 5 and under. This week’s theme is “.” Starts at 10:30 a.m.

3)     City Commission meets tomorrow to make a final decision on whether to allow dogs in the outside seating area at downtown restaurants. If you’d like to add to the doggie discussion, meeting is at starting at 6:30 p.m. Otherwise, check back with Patch for details.

4)     You’ll be able to catch your Patch news on Radio Dunedin with host Lisa Dozois tomorrow and every Thursday on WTAN AM 1340 from noon to 1 p.m.

5)     This is first semester exam week for students. Parents, help them excel. Be sure they get a good night’s sleep. They’ll need brain food, too, so send ’em off with a hearty breakfast.
