When Does Daylight Saving Time End for 2012?

Daylight Saving Time lasts until 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4.

Keep in mind we spring forward and fall back with Daylight Saving Time.

So on Nov. 4, we will set the clocks back an hour. Of course many computers, cell phones and other electronic devices make life easier by adjusting automatically when Daylight Saving Time starts or stops.

Beyond getting an extra hour of sleep, the time change weekend is a great opportunity to replace the batteries in the the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Nearly two-thirds of all home fire deaths happen on properties without working smoke alarms, according to the National Fire Protection Association. The U.S. Fire Administration’s website has more information about smoke detector installation and care.

By the way "clock change" weekend happens again when we spring forward at the start of next year's Daylight Saving Time on March 10, 2013!
