Dunedin Veterans Day Celebration

The City of Dunedin's annual Veterans Day Celebration will be held in the Dunedin High School football stadium, officially known as Memorial Stadium, in honor of Dunedin Veterans killed in action during the Vietnam War.  This event is open to all citizens of Pinellas County and will appropriately recognize Veterans of each branch of the Armed Services.  Following remarks from State Representative Carl Zimmerman, City of Dunedin Mayor, the Honorable Dave Eggers, and school Principal, Mr. Reuben Hepburn, the celebration will feature a special tribute to our service Veterans.  Included will be patriotic music by the Dunedin High School Highlander Band and Choral Ensemble, Service Anthems, a drill team performance by the high school NJROTC Unit and a formal Pass in Review.  There is no charge for attending this event and parking is free.  Veterans are invited to attend a free continental breakfast in the principal's conference room from 7:30-8:30 AM.  The entire school and Memorial Stadium are wheelchair and handicapped accessible.  If anyone needs special assistance moving from one point to another for any reason, please call (727) 469-4100, ext. 2049, and proper arrangements will be made.  Please, bring your family and friends and join our great city in making this a memorable celebration for Veterans on this special day, November 11, 2013.  For questions, call (727) 469-4100, ext. 2049.  Hope to see you there!
