As many of you know, Dunedin has an exciting opportunity on October 17 to promote our amazing town to thousands of people, while supporting a great cause

Four employees of InterContinental Hotels' Group (the company behind the Holiday Inn Express brand) are teaming up for a wonderful cause. They'll be biking 500 miles on the Pinellas Trail to benefit Give Kids the World Village, a wonderful foundation that provides children with terminal and chronic illnesses a dream vacation at their storybook village in the Walt Disney World area. The funds will help build a new villa, which will allow more families to experience this non-profit storybook resort where children with life-threatening illnesses and their families are treated to a week-long, cost-free fantasy vacation.  Video of the bike ride and fundraising efforts will be shown during the conference to the 6,500 attendees.

As residents and business owners of Dunedin, we have a unique opportunity to come out and support them! Around noon on Wednesday, October 17th, we'd love it if  residents and business owners could meet at Oak Tree Plaza next to Cafe Alfresco and cheer them on to show your support

With our nations' urgent need to overhaul the health care system and each persons' need to deal withRead More increasing health care costs/decreasing quality of care, volunteering for SHINE could be part of the answer. The more you know, the better equipped you are to make postive changes for yourself and others. If, like me, you feel frustrated with the FL Legislature which seems to be working against us rather than for us; volunteering with organizations that educate the public in essential areas of concern can be an effective way to create grassroots changes. SHINE offers exceptional training and effectively updates it's volunteers regarding changes in the healthcare system. Sign up for thier training and you're sure to want to pass on what you learn to others.
