Dunedin Residents Jog with American Flags to Honor 9/11 Victims

The patriotic, three-mile jog definitely got motorists' attention.

An early morning jog became a spirited way for some Dunedin residents to honor victims of Sept. 11.

Suzi and Fred Dampier invited friends from Dunedin Running Club to join their "Sept. 11 Memorial Run" the night before.

Around 6 am., as the sun was starting to rise over scenic Edgewater Drive on Wednesday, at least four residents — Suzi and Fred Dampier and Rob Ditro and son Jordan — set out running with American flags in honor of the lives lost in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

The patriotic, three-mile jog definitely got motorists' attention.

"Really cool we ran 3 miles holding the American Flag and everyone was honking! God Bless America!" Rob Ditro shared on his personal Facebook page.

How did you remember Sept. 11, Dunedin?
