5 Things to Know Today: Monday, Sept. 24

Where to find the cheapest gas, important happenings for Dunedin residents this week and more.

1) The National Weather Service Forecast: Expect mostly sunny skies, with a high near 90. Winds are predicted at north northeast at 9 to 11 mph. Tonight's low is 72. 

2) The lowest reported gas in Dunedin is $3.64 at two stations: The Super Shop (cash, regular) at 1001 Broadway, and St. George Gas Service (cash, regular) at 2000 Bayshore Blvd, according to TampaGasPrices.com.

3) The Dunedin Public Library starts its month-long children's underwear drive today! Drop off new packages of children's underwear at the Youth Services Desk during regular library hours through Oct. 24. All new underwear goes to Clothes to Kids, a local charity that provides five new school outfits to children in need. (Read the Library's Local Voices blog for more info!)

4) Dunedin's mayoral and commission candidates are taking voter questions at a forum Wednesday. The Chamber of Commerce-sponsored candidate forum is at the Hale Senior Activity Center from 7 to 9 p.m. Attendance is free, but it will also be aired on Dunedin TV. Find more info here.
