4) Big news for Bucs fans: The Associated Press reports that the Tampa Bay Bucs fired first-time head coach Raheem Morris and his staff. He is among five NFL coachs fired recently. All three of Florida's NFL teams — the Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins and the Bucs — are looking for new coaches.

5) Voting for the Deck the House holiday lights contest ends on Jan. 8. John Banacki's home in Palm Harbor is one of 24 in the nation that is in contention for the top prize: $100,000 for its local schools.
