Dunedin Boy Up For 'I Am Florida' Contest

No doubt about it, Dunedin's young Bodie Ross is a Florida boy through and through.

He's a fifth-generation Floridian and loves fishing at Honeymoon Island. His mother, Dixie Ross, nominated him for Florida Expedition 500's statewide "I Am Florida" contest. Here's what she had to say about him:

"This is my son Bodie. He is 6-years-old and is a 5th generation Floridian. His favorite place in Florida is Honeymoon Island, and his face lights up like it's Christmas when he is fishing there. When asked why he loved Honeymoon Island so much, his response was, 'It just makes me happy.'"

But does Bodie have enough Sunshine State glow to win?

Voting ends Sept. 7.

Bodie stands to win a Tahoe Stand Up Paddle board from Justin Riney, an SUP paddler and CEO of Mother Ocean who passed through Dunedin via Dunedin Causeway and Honeymoon Island in February as part of a year-long journey around the Florida coastline and waterways.
