Adult Services is presenting Dr. Steve Noll, Professor of Florida History Studies at the University of Florida and author, as he speaks about our state’s history and transportation.

This program is co-sponsored by the Florida Humanities Council, the Dunedin Public Library and the Dunedin Friends of the Library, and the Dunedin Historical Museum and Dunedin Historical Society. Dr. Noll will be here Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. local attorney, historian and actor Eric Houghton will present a delightful visit with our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln. Come celebrate President’s Day at the Library during “Love Your Library” month with Honest Abe!

Thursday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. Scottish author Joyce Milne D’Auria will talk about her historical novel of Scotland, “My Blood is Royal,” about family loyalties and betrayals and one young woman’s undying dream of her Scottish home.

On Friday, Feb. 22 at 10:30 a.m., in the Youth Department, Joy Ames will help us create our own giant rainbow fish based on Marcus Pfister’s fun books. Ms. Ames is the Mini Masters teacher at the Dunedin Fine Art Center. This program is sponsored by a Target Grant and it is a celebration of VIVA Florida. Registration is required.

Join us at the library this week for one or more of these exciting programs! Our Friends’ Book Store is always full of materials for sale if you missed last weekend’s event.

Come and check out some books, download an e-book, read the newspaper, check out a magazine, visit story time, watch a movie or meet some friends on the playground. The Dunedin Public Library is a wonderful learning community that is free to everybody.

See you soon!
